The Student Experience Excellence Awards (formerly the Graduating Student Awards) recognize RPI students who have made exceptional contributions to our community through academic achievement, athletic accomplishment, leadership, service, and/or volunteerism.

Cadets, MIDN, and their families celebrate their commissioning in the Sage Banquet Hall where they receive awards to commemorate their hardwork in their respective branches the last 4 years.

The School of Architecture Commencement Dinner will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM. This event is by invitation only.

The Ph.D. Hooding ceremony is a unique recognition of the achievement of each student who has earned a doctorate. Each doctoral candidate is introduced individually during the ceremony. They will have their hood placed on them while standing on the stage in the concert hall.

The Naval ROTC Commissioning Ceremony is the formal commissioning of the senior Midshipmen as Ensigns or Second Lieutenants in the United States Navy or United States Marine Corps, respectively.
